Roomza User Content & Community Standards Agreement

This User Content & Community Standards Agreement (“Agreement”) governs all content submitted to Roomza (“Roomza,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through our website, applications, and services (“Platform”). By accessing or contributing content to the Platform, you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree, you may not submit or interact with user-generated content on Roomza.
Roomza may update these standards at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any updates.
1. Eligibility to Submit Content
You may submit reviews, room-level data, comments, photos, videos, or any other content (“User Content”) only if:
- You are at least 18 years old;
- You have the legal capacity to agree to these terms; and
- The content reflects your own firsthand experience.
2. Truthfulness and Firsthand Experience
All User Content must be:
- Based on a completed stay or real interaction you personally experienced;
- Accurate to the best of your knowledge; and
- Free of fabricated, speculative, or secondhand information.
Roomza may request verification of a stay, room number, or identity if there is reason to question authenticity.
3. Room Identification and Accuracy
If you choose to provide a room number or room-specific details:
- You must only provide information you are certain is correct;
- You may not guess, fabricate, or mislabel a room; and
- You may not intentionally mislead other users.
If unsure, you must leave the room number field blank.
4. Staff Mentions
You may mention hotel staff under the following conditions:
- First name only, or first name plus role/title (“Sarah at the front desk”);
- Comments must be respectful and relevant to your stay.
You may not:
- Share last names unless the staff member is publicly known in that role;
- Share personal information, schedules, or identifying details;
- Use staff mentions to harass, target, intimidate, or shame an employee.
Roomza may remove any staff-related content deemed inappropriate or unsafe.
5. Privacy and Personal Information
Users may not submit:
- Personal data about other guests;
- Room numbers of guests other than themselves;
- Reservation numbers, phone numbers, emails, or payment details;
- Images revealing non-public personal information;
- Photos or videos of individuals in private, compromising, or non-consensual contexts.
6. Prohibited Content
User Content may not include:
- Harassment, threats, discrimination, or hate speech;
- Defamatory statements or knowingly false allegations;
- Illegal activity or instructions enabling illegal activity;
- Unsafe or harmful behavior;
- Spam, advertising, referral codes, or commercial promotion;
- Software exploits, security bypass instructions, or technical vulnerabilities;
- Attempts to influence RoomRanker or hotel scoring through coordinated campaigns.
7. Photos and Video Submission
Permitted:
- Photos of your assigned room;
- Public hotel areas;
- Views from your room.
Prohibited:
- Photos of guests or staff without consent;
- Staff-only areas, back-of-house, or hotel security systems;
- Content intended to embarrass, expose, or harm individuals.
8. Manipulation, Fraud, and Platform Abuse
You may not:
- Create fake accounts or impersonate others;
- Post fabricated reviews or coordinated content;
- Exchange compensation for reviews (except official Roomza-administered incentives);
- Attempt to manipulate RoomRanker or hotel scores.
Roomza may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in manipulation.
9. Ownership and License to Roomza
By submitting User Content, you represent that:
- You own or have rights to the content; and
- You grant Roomza a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, analyze, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute the content as part of the Platform.
Roomza will not sell individual user-generated content to third parties.
10. Enforcement and Moderation Authority
Roomza may remove, hide, modify, or restrict any User Content or account at its sole discretion, including content that:
- Violates this Agreement;
- Appears false, misleading, harmful, or unsafe;
- Is reported by users and verified as inappropriate;
- Jeopardizes platform integrity, staff safety, or hotel security.
Roomza may also:
- Limit posting privileges;
- Remove earned incentives if tied to prohibited behavior;
- Suspend or terminate accounts.
Users may submit one appeal per moderation action.
11. Reporting Violations
Users may report violations through in-app tools or by contacting support. Roomza does not mediate disputes between users and hotels.
12. No Obligation to Display Content
Submission does not guarantee posting. Roomza may choose not to publish content for any reason.
13. Compliance with Laws
Users must comply with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws. Illegal content will be removed, and violations may be reported to authorities when appropriate.
14. Termination
Roomza may suspend or terminate user access at any time, with or without notice, for violations or suspected violations of these standards.
