2020 to 2022
Imagining the future.
Roomza raised venture capital from Dream Ventures and secured intellectual property protections for Roomzaverse (our AR/VR/metaverse hospitality concept) and Room-Level Booking. The world wasn't quite ready. We were.
2022
We signed our first deal.
After years watching guests book blind, we believed the industry could do better. We signed our first hotel property in 2022 with a simple thesis: every room has a story worth telling honestly.
2023
We opened our doors.
Our first property opened its doors. Staff shortages, rising costs, shifting guest expectations — we navigated all of it. Our teams showed up every single day, and so did our guests.
2024
150,000+ guests.
We welcomed more than 150,000 guests through our doors. We learned something profound: every guest's experience lived or died in one room.
2024
The insight that changed everything.
Room 412 at one property had 40 glowing reviews. Room 413, same floor, same type, had complaints about noise every time. The difference was a wall. We realized the hotel industry had been hiding room-level truth from travelers for decades.
2024 to 2025
A new mission takes shape.
We began building the technology to surface that truth at scale. Not property reviews. Not star ratings. Verified, room-specific scores from real guests who actually slept there. We knew this had never been done right.
March 2025
Roomza, rebuilt.
We closed our last hotel, Roomza New Orleans French Quarter, and stepped back from hotel operations entirely to focus on what we learned: travelers deserve the truth about the room they're booking, not just the hotel. This version of Roomza is built on that promise.
