Rooms are large with stunning views set in a reconstructed village that feels cinematic and peaceful. Some furniture is dated and electrical design is quirky, but staff are friendly and helpful. The on-site Steam House restaurant is solid, though the Michelin-starred Hangzhou House disappointed guests with tourist-trap food at high prices.
