Best Western Newberg Inn

Clean and comfortable, Great if you aren't handicapped.

The room was very clean and comfortable. If I wasn't handicapped I would have given a much higher rating. We did not eat breakfast on site so I cannot rate that. Handicapped room was near the handicapped parking.

Cons The handicapped access from the handicapped parking was very narrow. You had to pass the entry door and turn around to open it. I was unable to get in by myself. The handicapped shower was also impossible to use by myself. Seated, I was unable to reach the shower knobs to turn on and off or adjust the shower. I am a 5'7" woman so it wasn't because I am short. The shower hose was not long enough to reach my back. I also wasn't happy that I selected a King size bed and received two queens instead.

Breakfast was good. Staff taking care of the breakfast room were very pleasant.

Cons No elevator. Front desk personnel not that friendly. Told staff person at front desk about broken shade on one of the lamps. Was never taken care of.

Would stay again

Room were nice, clean and not too small. Pool was great, and not very busy. Breakfast was decent, typical options you see for a hotel continental breakfast.

Cons No elevator, hotel only has two floors, but a minor inconvenience if you have a lot of stuff and are on the second floor.

I’m glad it was a short stay. Front desk worker was very friendly but the room was not clean

The bedding was nice it was a thin quilt but heavy enough to be cozy.

Cons Immediately when walking into the room I was hit with a wet dog / smoke smell. After sitting in there for a bit my throat felt scratchy. Thankfully you become nose blind to the smell but once you leave and come back it’s awful. My “clean” towels had a hair on them. Everything is extremely dated and I could see dirt and such on the walls. It was not clean. The shower looks very old and I didn’t even want to shower cause I wouldnt feel clean after. I appreciate the dog accommodations however there is a dead bird in the grass area. the breakfast was lacking, felt judged walking in and looking around didn’t really see where anything was. Very minimal selection and I came at 8am.
