Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort

The resort was beautiful. The location was perfect for exploring Carlsbad or going to the beach. Many restaurants within walking distance.

The grounds were beautiful! Nice pool and basically beach accessible.

Epic Manager

Hot tub, gym and the welcoming speech of the assistance to the regional manager. It was so corporate, it was so epic. We heard it twice Sunday and Monday, it was the same. It’s like standup comedy. Very well done, bravo!

Cons No water kettle, no proper coffee, breakfast contained no traces of vegetables.

the location is perfect for walking and relaxing near the beach. Smallish family friendly pool, has a hot tub adult only. Work out area, some freebie food items occasionally. Playground large area for kids to run. Firepits are available, and bar inside. Free parking in the parking garage, very convenient. Lap swim for adults 7-8am pool was nice. Kitchenette was nice and convenient. Bed was comfortable, pillows lumpy. Very safe feeling with fobs to get into most areas.

Cons If you don't pay the $50 for early check in, you will NOT get early check in! Then everyone lines up at 4pm to check in. Checking in online doesn't mean you've checked in, we were told it has to be in person. Social hour with free apps and wine is 3-5pm, but you can't check in until 4pm! Talked with front desk people, no one mentioned the social hour. By time we got to the room and downstairs at 4:45pm all apps and wine were gone, not well planned. Housekeeping only comes once every 3 days. They do come get towels and garbage on alternating days. No toiletries, or water provided in your room. 2 coffee packets and some tea. Water in a dispenser is in the lobby or vending machine. Get rid of the carpet and put in VPF much cleaner.
