Carpenter Hotel

A nice stay in a chic but slightly overpriced hotel.

It’s close to the springs and designed nicely.

Cons I had one negative interaction with the staff who didn’t understand the fees that were already paid via booking. She was young and a bit immature/unprofessional. And then right after I had an extremely positive interaction with another staff member who figured out what my booking was. She knew how to welcome people and the other one was just surly and not at all hospitable.

I absolutely love the Carpenter! We're from Austin and have stayed here for a little staycation on my birthday and my sister's. It's extremely comfortable and calming environment. The balcony and pool especially are great. It's very central to the rest of downtown areas you might want to go to. During both stays, we've walked to dinner, which is not always possible in Austin.

The property was gorgeous. We loved the hotel and the beds were so comfy!

Cons The pool was a bit crowded, but that is to be expected in the summer. The only downfall for us was at the TV in the room didn’t work.

A really great staycation

I loved the vibes, the pool was awesome! So much greenery and it was tucked away in the heart of Austin! The rooms were nice and decorated well, there was an awesome selection of snacks and things to purchase in room! I loved the robe and the fact that we had a patio!
