Great location, great for cabins, no onsite office, misleading unit and poor directional information
This is a very challenging review due to many aspects we liked a lot but on the other hand we also disliked several extremely important issues. The location outside of town, off Hwy 20 but still close, is great, the breakfast was great, and the offsite receptionist tried her utmost to solve the issue and the room we were finally moved to was very agreeable (incl. air conditioning and a refrigerator, however....
Cons When we booked a room fro 3 only a "Deluxe Double Queen Room (No Windows)" was available. Seeing the numerous photos we assumed it was maybe a unit with just a glass door and so we accepted it. By text we were informed that the lobby was closed but we could had "straight to our unit" and were given the unit #4 and 'Methow' as name for the unit. It took us and by chance 3 other parties, whoc tried to check in at the same time, quite a while to find our units, because they were in the main building and entrance not easily detectable. Only after further search we found a room plan in a box next to the closed office (no hint of that in the text). We then found our door but without the mentioned name, which was prominently displayed on all the cabins. Great was our surprise, when we saw stairs leading to a very stuffy basement unit with minimum lighting (bedroom bulbs probably 25W), just a fan and NO AIR Conditioning, totally unacceptable for us. NO MENTIONING OF A UNIT IN A BASEMENT. And this they called 'Deluxe Double Queen Room"? In the text we were given contact phone numbers, but one of the guests had found out that this "Inn & Cabins" was owned by the nearby Methow River Lodge. So we headed straight to that office and after the receptionist was finally able to contact the owner by phone we were given a room above the ground.
