It's a beautiful historical hotel

Cons The facilities IE pool are shared with members so it doesn't feel like a resort and it was very crowded. One of the staff members was pretty rude to me they then followed up partially and said they would call but never did. The first room they gave me was really bad in the Attic and the air conditioning was unbelievably loud they did move me to a beautiful room and the staff were super nice about it and followed up to make sure it was okay. I want to be clear it was just one rogue staff member who was rude. However it was at the beginning of my stay and it really did put a damper on the whole stay and there was absolutely no need for it I just asked if my room was ready because I was told it would be ready early and she got very upset about that.

Lovely hotel with two nice swimming pools. Very good restaurant and coffee bar! Magnificent view!

Cons Quite expensive

Great location with an awesome view

The view from the room was amazing. The staff was friendly, the facility and amenities were a little dated but well-maintained and in great condition, and we especially really enjoyed going to the cafe East Bay Provisions for breakfast/afternoon breaks. Also very close and a easy bus ride to the UC Berkeley campus and downtown Berkeley.

Cons You need to walk outside of the building and across the parking lot to get to the gym, swimming pools, etc which sometimes can be a bit dangerous with young children with cars constantly coming in and out.

Lovely, but absent the spa we will not return.

Beautiful, classic hotel.

Cons We were very disappointed to learn that the Spa is closing. We loved that spa. Sadly we likely will not stay at the Claremont again once the spa is closed.

Lovely stay

Great location, beautiful facility, very comfortable room with a view of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the pool. It was an easy walk to a range of local restaurants and cafes.

Cons The parking was convenient but as reported the parking system caused some delays when trying to exit the facility due to other drivers who had trouble paying.

Hreat facilities in an amazing location

Cons A bit dated, i would remove carpet from rooms
