Courtyard by Marriott Portland City Center

Great

The view of the city at night was awesome

Cons Just that the pull out bed was actually a chair and really made for a child

Acceptable.

Clean rooms and friendly and helpful staff.

Cons Lobby was not as clean as it should be. Coffee dispenser was often empty. When they did fill it they didn’t clean the trash on the countertop. The tissue dispenser had 5 tissues when refilled. Had to pay for bottled water. None free. Accustomed to at least a couple free bottles.

Overall the stay went well, besides the restaurant.

I really like the proximity to everything. There were lots of things to do within a walking distance. The valet staff was also very helpful and hospitable.

Cons I didn't like the restaurant service at all. My partner accidentally spilled her drink and instead of remaking or taking it off the bill the bartender charged it. I had also ordered a drink that wasn't made but took it as a sign to not order. She also had this friend (long blond haired dude) at the bar that made the experience even worse and also made it sound like he was getting free drinks most of the night.

Valley parking was nice, all though a bit pricey.

Cons Could not get the wifi to work on my laptop. I was working with the hotels internet provider and they said they were working on it and would call me back. Never heard from them again and ended up having to hot spit off my phone to do my work.

Great room for the price

large bathroom and comfortable bed

Cons Furniture too big for room.
