Not happy with stay
The food in the restaurant is very good and staff are friendly. The rooms and furnishings are very old. Our room smelled like old cigarette smoke and the couch in the room was dirty and stained.

Won't stay here again
We reserved a vaulted ceiling room and were excited to learn when that the room was on a corner with two decks, so it had plenty of natural light. However, our excitement was overshadowed by the fact that the AC sounded like a semi truck, our bed was super soft and lumpy and those 2 slider doors on the decks weren't insulated so we could hear every car and truck driving by all night long. Our friends had a worse experience, their room smelled like an ashtray! Guess you have to specify if you want a smoking or non-smoking room. Won't stay there again.
Fun family stop on the drive through the Gorge
Our family thoroughly appreciated the staff and their attention to detail and service - right down to actual water glasses in the rooms. We enjoyed the pool after our hot travels. Our waitress at breakfast in the hotel restaurant was the definition of efficiency and service. Such a nice stop on the beautiful drive in the Gorge.

Lack of meaningful response
We recently stayed here for a family trip and rented three rooms. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Two of the three rooms were clean, comfortable, and exactly what we expected. Unfortunately, our room was a different experience. As soon as we opened the door, we were hit with an extremely strong patchouli scent that filled the entire room. It was overwhelming. We called the front desk, and they initially said they would send up some air freshener. A little while later, they called back to say they couldn't find any. That was frustrating, especially since there were scented candles displayed in the lobby when we checked out. We ended up leaving the door propped open and the window open for quite a while just to make the room tolerable. Later that evening, we discovered the air conditioner wasn't working properly either. Between the heat and the lingering smell, we barely slept. One of the things we always look forward to is having breakfast at the restaurant, but we felt so tired and unwell from the lack of sleep that we skipped it. When I mentioned everything at checkout, the only response was that maintenance would be notified. Overall, the staff was kind, and most of our group's stay was great, but the condition of our room and the lack of a meaningful response to the issues left us disappointed. I hope these concerns are addressed so future guests don't have the same experience.
Enjoyable stay.
It was a nice stay but the rooms are dated and need some repairs. Beds were comfortable and clean. No breakfast served. The restaurant is available though.
