Overall for someone who travels regularly I wouldnt stay at this hotel again.

Breakfast was great, location in the heart of district 1 is fantastic.

Cons I decided to book a room for a night to celebrate my partners birthday and chose the Hilton. The room had a strong stale ashtray smell to it, you should enforce no smoking in your rooms, the bath plug was faulty and the bath wouldn’t drain, overall for a AUD$500 a night room it could have been better.

Cons Here’s a shorter, sharper version suitable for a public hotel review: The biggest disappointment was the lack of human connection and genuine hospitality. The experience felt more like staying in an Airbnb, with most communication happening through messages rather than personal interaction. You rarely see team members approaching guests to ask, “How are you?” or “How is your stay?” Management presence was almost zero, and I did not see senior team members engaging with guests or checking on their experience. The team would greatly benefit from training on emotional connection and genuine guest engagement. Hospitality is about more than providing a room and services—it is about making guests feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. Unfortunately, that human touch was missing.
