Hotel Grand Stark

Lovely hotel---neighborhood leaves alot to be desired.

The hotel was a lovely refurbished 100+ year old building. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were compact, but had everything we needed. The beds had wonderfully soft cotton sheets.

Cons The neighborhood is kind of sketchy. There are homeless people and drug addicts walking past the hotel at all times of the day. I would not feel comfortable walking around. Fortunatley, we had a car. We used the hotel as a base for day trips.

reat hotel, very friendly staff, Nice hotel bar with free drink tickets at check in - the hotel was pleasing to the eye and very clean. Had a room on the street side and was not bothered by the noise but the hotel provides ear plugs if that is an issue. The room itself was cozy, had a beautiful shower and comfortable bed. I also enjoyed the bath room waiting in the shower room. Also to note before check in/after check out they will hold your luggage which is very nice. There are also very cool bars on the same block and many more that are close by plus a large vintage mall only a 10 minute walk away.

GREAT experience here. Staff was soo warm and welcoming and the place is impeccably clean. Very cute decor and such a central location right in the middle of the city. Walkable to at least 5 coffee shops. I thought it might be loud but it actually wasn’t at all. This will be my new go to spot.
