Great location, staff, and overall property. It was our first time and we will be back for sure!
I normally don't take the time to write reviews but knowing the cost/travel commitment for a family to travel all the way to Hawaii as a dream vacation i hope this can be as helpful as possible for the next. I traveled with my wife and two kids (3 yrs and 6 months). It was our first time. Upon arrival my toddler and I went to check in and the concierge was great. After a long day of travel, they brought out Lei's for my family and even gifted my toddler a coloring book and card. That meant alot! The team walked us all the way to our room and gave us good info about the property along the way. We booked the king ocean view room and it was well worth the view. We had an amazing view from the 7th floor of the entire main pool, waterfall, and perfect sunset every night. The room was spacious and was plenty for my family and I. One of the biggest reasons we booked the Hyatt was we wanted to have a major home base that had everything we needed without traveling the island (yes different type of Hawaii trip but if you have young children you understand). Several restaurants, on resort convenience and apparel stores, a golf simulator, and even a golf course right across the street. We truly did not need to leave the property at all. The kids pool was a major plus as it had a splash pad and small silde with plenty of space for my toddler to hang out safely and play with other kids. It was a sand bottom kids pool which was really neat. We spent alot of time here. You also have access to the Hyatt Vacation Club next door which has several super nice pools/kids pools that were very quiet. Often times we were the only family there. The entire property is ocean front so you have great views no matter where you are. The biggest recommendation i can give is definelty opt in for the breakfast included option at booking. Hawaii can be very expensive - and it was nice to know from 6-11:30 we can go into the buffet free of charge.
Cons The beach on the resort isnt super expansive. You are better off walking down about 5-10 min for more beach options. A quick walk about 5 minutes up the beach and we had a great little private area with natural shade from the large trees water front. Worked great for us.
