Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh

Perfect setting for a weekend getaway to enjoy Pittsburgh.

Beautifully designed. Loved the bird motif. It made it so enjoyable to find a nook and sit with coffee or a beer. The happy hour is excellent. Perfect location! Walkable to dinner and everything we wanted to see.

The Kimpton is not a real five star hotel.

Housekeeping and valet staff were wonderful.

Cons This is not a five star hotel. There was no bottled water in the room, no Nespresso or other coffee maker. There were robes, but no slippers. They did not do evening turndown and the bath towels were thin. After responding to a "how was your stay" email from Kimpton, their response was that I should have requested those things. I've stayed at many five star properties and at that price point, you don't have to request such things. They come to you and ask if you need anything. It is a great location. They need to step up their game. You can get the same service at most any IHG property for a third of the cost and you'll also get a free breakfast.

The property was very clean and beautifully decorated. The aesthetic was wonderful and eclectic.

Exceeded our expectations.

The staff was very hospitable and attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed. The team at this hotel clearly has set a high standard for their customer service, and every employee there was absolutely professional. They went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. The rooms we booked were great; the beds and furniture were all very comfortable, bathrooms and rooms were clean. We stayed in a suite room that was more spacious than the pictures showed. We were very impressed with the hotel.
