Meh hotel in a beautiful setting

Beautiful location but subpar service and amenities for a four star hotel. The ability to walk to shops, restaurants and the beach is amazing and redeemed what would have been a poor resort experience that overcharges for several services and had several broken or absent amenities. The rooms were small but fine, with comfortable beds but several aged or broken features. Nightly music downstairs was very good and enjoyable. Overall clean and nice resort with some problems. I don't mind spending money for a great experience, but the value just wasn't there for our stay.

Great Visit To Delmar CA! Best Venue: L'Auberge Del Mar!

The Best Venue in Delmar CA! We have vacationed at the L'Auberge Del Mar in ‘25, celebrating our companies 15th year in business, and ‘26. ‘26 was very special, 45th wedding anniversary celebration. Our patio room with a view of the pacific was excellent. Location for the track/beach/restaurants is excellent. Great atmosphere as soon as you check in, with excellent staff, from taking bags to room from uber, to fast check-in and check out. Excellent fast made up of room daily! Shuttle service to other area venues was excellent. We will be back in ‘27!

Amazing stay!

Fantastic location with ocean views, very short walk to the beach with shuttle available and amazing comfortable room with great layout.

Best location in North County

This is the best location in North County IMO. I’ve stayed in La Jolla, Solana Beach, Carlsbad, and in Oceanside, but I think this Del Mar location is the best situated in terms of beach, restaurants, things to do. Lovely hotel.

Needs Improvement

Quaint old school hotel. Checked in as a AmEx Platinum member & told our room was “upgraded.” Sadly, the room was dark due to overgrown patio ferns with a view of nothing but the back of the poolside beverage tent. VERY disappointing !!! If this room was an upgrade … I don't want to know what a non-upgraded room yields (YIKES). Food service for all our meals was unbearably slow, but food itself was great. A special shout out to Sunday evening’s entertainment which we found to be exceptional !!!

Location is good, Service is good. But valet parking fee is terrible, 75 Us dollar per day. Hope future they will can be lower.
