Saturn's Return — Farm & Inn

For the price it was up to the standards it should be. Not once did we see the owner. Overall very disappointing.

Rural setting

Cons Room was dusty and drab. Walls were bare, no paintings. Shower was kind of gross. Room was right off the entry way so it could be loud. When Everyone ran the water or flushed the toilet it was really loud. Breakfast was cold one day even though were we there at 8;30 starting time.

Cons Squeaky bed frame

It's a rustic place with attention to odd details - not worth the hefty price tag for what you get.

The soaps and bed linens provided were great quality and the the fresh cut flowers in the rooms were beautiful.

Cons The rooms were very small, and the bathroom was even smaller (couldn't close the door and sit on the toilet at the same time). The doors were all incredibly loud and squeaky and the walls thin so you could hear everything. The main floor shared bathroom towel was never changed or cleaned, the main shared fridge smelled terrible and was full of old food, the shared garbage was overflowing for days before being changed, there were dead bugs in shared spaces for days that indicated that they weren't being cleaned, and there were consistent issues with the breakfast accommodating dietary restrictions that were communicated in advance. Plus, the electrical circuit was consistently tripped during breakfast and since no one is regularly present on site, it was up to the guests to either reset the circuit breaker themselves or contact the host to come to reset it. The hosts seem to have a very hands off approach to running things despite living right there.

It was a great stay for a weekend. The place is cozy, rooms are tiny and you can hear everything. Owners are super nice

Beautiful, restful, thoughtful, delicious.

The breakfast was delicious; hot water and tea were always available. Loved the linen napkins! The common rooms were beautifully and sparsely decorated - organic cotton everywhere, lots of light, very restful. Wandering the grounds was fun. Beautiful surroundings!

Cons Our only complaint is that we were in the "ADA room", which is just inside the front door to the inn, and which is also very small, with no place to put our clothes. The toilet is inside the room, which was a little weird. I understand adjustments had to be made to make it compliant, but I would recommend NOT staying in Room 1 if you don't need to. Small request: fruit at breakfast (in addition to the fruit in the coffee cakes, which were delicious).
