If this hotel weren't 2,600 miles from home, we'd already be planning another stay. We're fans!
We loved the night view of harbor lights glittering across the dark water all around this hotel, but the golden sunrise view the next morning was the showstopper! It was gorgeous. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed and a nice breakfast with delicious sausage gravy biscuits. (There were lighter options for those who aren't breakfast piggies like us!) Location is great, just down the street from a row of great waterfront restaurants and an easy drive from the airport. Great walking trail along the water easily accessible from hotel. Our first Silver Cloud experience was exceptional.
Cons My only dislike was the elevator. It was quite slow, with waits of up to 5 minutes, and there was only one elevator. With mobility issues, we couldn't easily take the stairs instead, as many guests did. But compared to all that we loved about the lodging, the slow elevator was not such a big deal.
