The Betsy Hotel

Rivogliamo il "Betsy" di alcuni anni fa.

Premetto che questa struttura ci piace tantissimo (la posizione, il fascino di altri tempi, ...) e sono anni che, per un periodo breve o lungo, soggiorniamo qui. Purtroppo, e mi dispiace tantissimo doverlo scrivere, abbiamo notato un peggioramento lento ma costante dei servizi forniti e della pulizia della struttura. I letti sono comodi e il personale è gentile. Abbiamo mangiato una sera nel ristorante interno alla struttura: ottimo, non economico, chi ci ha servito è stato un po' troppo pressante.

Cons Sebbene i nostri soggiorni siano stati sempre in agosto (quindi bassa stagione per Miami), c'era sempre qualcuno ad aprirti la porta, farti un saluto. Quando siamo arrivati non abbiamo trovato nessuno alla porta, nessuno al valet parking. La nostra stanza, affacciata su Ocean Drive, aveva i vetri assolutamente sporchi. Il bagno non era pulitissimo e soprattutto il rubinetto del lavabo era staccato, era necessario tenerlo fermo per poterlo aprire (possibile che chi pulisce la stanza ogni giorno non se ne è mai accorta/o?); lo abbiamo segnalato al check out. Bisognava stare attenti ad aprire le ante degli armadietti perchè erano traballanti. L'ascensore per raggiungere la piscina sul tetto è rimasto fuori servizio per una settimana (!) quindi era necessario passare dalle scale esterne (alcuni pianerottoli erano ingombri di secchi e materiale per riparazioni). Riassumendo, il prezzo è rimasto elevato ma la qualità é peggiorata. Purtroppo.

One of the best stays we’ve ever had The Betsy was truly one of the best hotel stays I have ever booked. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely special and incredibly well taken care of. The service was exceptional — warm, attentive, and professional without ever feeling overwhelming. Every detail seemed thoughtfully considered, which made our stay feel truly memorable. The interior has so much character and atmosphere. It is elegant, intimate, and full of charm. The live music was the perfect touch and added so much warmth and magic to the experience. This is more than just a beautiful hotel — it is a place with a soul and a very special atmosphere. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!
