Treat yourself too one of the top hotels in Australia.
It's in a great location in Broadbeach. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach.
Spacious rooms with fantastic views, plus lots of lifts for quick and easy access to the room.
The Casino and Theater are downstairs in the building, plus the Hotel has world class restaurants such as Nineteen (up the top) and Kiyomi (A Japanese restaurant).

It was really nice to work away from home with the comforts I enjoy at home
Its a really nice property that had a good work space and separate living to relax
Cons In room dining menu pretty limited compared to most hotels

Room very nice, facilities and food average at best.
The suite was very good. Lovely & spacious with quality fixtures & fittings, on the whole a lovely room.
Cons Breakfast was very poor. When paying for a suite in a 5* hotel, I don’t expect to use a breakfast buffet that is open to the other hotels around it and also the general public. Self service coffee? I never once stayed in a 5* hotel and have to get my own coffee at breakfast, and sit with dirty plates in front of us for 30 minutes after we’d used them.
The Gym in the Darling is also very poor. Barely any equipment at all. Luckily we could use the gym in the neighbouring star hotel which was far better equipped.

The penthouse was very accommodating in size
Cons With the technology we have available to us I was surprised on how outdated the TV's were, when I stayed at the old Hyde Park Inn in Sydney, the TV's there were more high tech than the Darling at the Star casino GC
Some staff made you feel less than welcome and when I enquired about an item that I had left behind, there was no mention of we'll make sure to let all staff involved to see if anything has been found or handed in , all I got was, you'll just have to fill out a police report; polite way of saying we really couldn't give two bit's about your loss
First time to the Gold Coast and didn't think much of the place and felt that I went back in time 70 year's and staying at the Darling Star casino made me wish I booked a caravan in a park instead
With my booking there was allegedly $50 to go towards my stay and when I paid my bill there was no sign of any such deductions
I'm going to make sure to definitely that I won't be having anything to do with the Star casino and any of its affiliates
