DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego Bayside

A comfortable stay with incredibly helpful and accommodating staff who made everything easy.

When I arrived, I realized my room was going to be pretty far from where I needed to be. The hotel has several different buildings that are all connected, and since I was there for an event, the location of my room made a big difference. I spoke with the front desk, and they were incredibly helpful in getting me moved into the main area where the event was being held. I also ended up needing to extend my stay by an extra day, and once again the staff went out of their way to help. They were able to arrange everything so I could stay in the same room instead of having to pack up and move. The front desk staff was friendly, accommodating, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay, and I really appreciated how easy they made everything for me.

Cons The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the coffee at the restaurant. The breakfast itself was tasty, but I would highly recommend investing in a better coffee machine or a better brew. Since the event I was attending lasted all day, it was difficult to step away to find better coffee elsewhere. Surprisingly, I actually found the coffee provided in the room to be slightly better!

Overall my stay was great.

The room and location were very good.

Cons The shower water pressure was not very good. The bed was a little too soft for me.

Cons First room smelled like dog urine. Luckily they provided a different room once requested.

Staff were very helpful, compassionate and supportive. Would recommend and stay again. Thank you for being a fantastic host

Customer service at this location for a Hilton hotel was horrible

The property was decent. I had preplanned my visit, Post facelift and at check-in they gave me a room where I would have to walk up multiple sides of stairs. Made no sense to me. I had previously asked for first floor. They moved me rooms where a convention was happening and I heard people all night long got no sleep, and it was the furthest building from the main entrance possible.

Cons There was one person on site that actually drove me to my room, thankfully for him because customer reception was not helpful
