Too expensive.

Rooms were nice and the beaches too.

Cons The pools were mediocre.

The beach view room was very spacious, clean and nice. The Tidal resturant on the property was great and the service there was really good.

Cons I didn't like that the beach is public so while we were sitting outside our room in the evening we had people from outside the hotel doing fires outsude our room. It made us feel unsafe.

Musty Rooms, Smart TV That Isn’t So Smart, Duck Poop Everywhere...

We paid a premium price for a resort experience and apparently got the “vintage San Diego” package: musty rooms, dirty AC vents, limited TV channels, and enough duck poop to qualify as a wildlife preserve. We actually switched rooms because of the musty smell, only to discover that the new room had the same issue, just with nicer-looking furniture. The “smart” TV was about as smart as a brick. No casting, no streaming, no real way to watch anything except the handful of channels provided. Apparently, the TV and I have very different definitions of the word “smart.” The grounds could also use some serious TLC. There was trash, spoiled vegetation, and so much bird and duck poop that I started wondering if we were staying at a resort or renting a timeshare from the ducks. And we live in Florida, so we're not exactly new to birds. Even the water glasses on arrival were spotty and looked questionable. Not exactly the first impression you want when you're paying premium prices. Honestly, there’s a lot of potential here. Invest in some modern amenities, clean the AC systems, upgrade the technology, pressure wash EVERYTHING, and give the grounds some serious attention. Do that, and the property could absolutely be worth the money. Until then, lower your expectations, then lower them some more, and watch where you step. The ducks apparently own the place. 🦆😂
