Comfortable and cozy boutique hotel for visit to Obama Museum

Very beautiful property with very nice rooms. The lobby and restaurant bar area were very inviting.

Comfort and Culture

The SOPHY hotel was perfect for my birthday weekend in The Chi. I had a corner suite that was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Loved the location in Culturally rich Hyde Park with the walkability to restaurants and shops. Brunch at Dawn restaurant in Hyde Park was delicious . Easy ride to downtown and Soldiers field. The highlight was the proximity to The Obama presidential center. I highly recommend The SOPHY Hotel and can’t wait until my next visit to explore more of Hyde Park and return to Obama center.

Great location

Nicely appointed boutique hotel in Hyde Park near the Obama Center. The neighborhood is vibrant with restaurants, shops, and amenities. The room was spacious. The best part of this hotel is the staff; service was consistently outstanding.

Hyde park ( illinois ) experience

Wonderful hotel surrounded by really tasty restaurants. Spacious well kept rooms. Our room had a rug lower than the flooring - tripped and stubbed my foot on the edge of the floor. Be advised the hotel does not have parking or offer parking. A Parking garage is a block and half away in which harassed by street people going to and fro. ( as with any major city ).

The room was amazing. The location was great.

Cons No onsite parking but there was plenty of street parking.
