The Westin Tysons Corner

I had an amazing time at the Westin Tyson's Corner. The staff were wonderful and very helpful when I needed assistance. The hotel is at a great location with alot of stores around and ofcourse the mall. The Hotel offers free shuttle rides to the mall and other locations close by and this was a true life saver for me, especially for the times I had internet connection issues. I will definitely stay at this Hotel next time I am in DC.

overall, room was nice. The lobby and staff were nice. The breakfast buffet was very good.

Cons parking -- paying extra to park was not good and we got charged twice. We thought the breakfast was complementary, but it was not since we booked through booking.com -- I wish we knew that as it was a bit overpriced. The thermostat in the room did not seem to work well -- we tried to reduce the A/C so it was a bit warmer, but it did not take.

Cons Cleanliness even after complaining. Bedsheets were stained and not ironed and were never changed during our 5 nights stay . Room was smelly and no enough ventilation . No room service or housekeeping when needed . Provided very little teabags and sachets of drinks even as a double room , had to call many times to get me a second packet of tea ..

Very convenient for a trip to DC… but not in DC’s price range.

The Westin’s Tyson Corner is a well-located 4-star rated hotel not far from DC and yet affordably priced for its comfortable rooms and expansive buffet breakfasts. The lobby is neat and fairly spacious, with a Starbucks coffee outlet located right in the lobby, so you have to buy your cuppa ! Most hotels of this class provide a free coffee station in the lobby or breakfast area, besides the coffee makers in the rooms. Outdoors, the parking lot features a group of 4 EVgo electric car chargers in a space reserved for EVs. Yay !! Excellent, as we are always looking for charging ports when we travel by car. Just have to check online before making reservations. The overall look is “clean and well maintained.” The room: adequately spacious and well appointed, with all the necessary accoutrements. The one awkward feature was a closet and toilet that share one sliding door: when the bath is in use the closet is left wide open, and vice versa ~ you don’t have the ability to close both. There is a clean bathroom with all the requisite accoutrements, compact corner shower – adequate. The room itself was fairly spacious, with a comfortable bed, space to open two bags, some drawer space to unpack for longer stays, a two-seater sofa (which sits blocking the one window,) another armchair for a guest / visitor, and the requisite flat-screen TV. Overall – great value for the money and location.
