Only thing location wasn't bad

Cons It's a 3 stars hotel not 4 as posted on booking. The room we booked was studio premium with ocean view, the pictures of the room not related to the actual room at all. The bed was so bad to a point they have a 3 inch foam memory mattress on top of it that I couldn't sleep, room has very old furniture with lots of wear and tear, very dirty. Not worth the money at all

The location, pool, beach, and room were all excellent. We loved that there are two pools, one bigger and close to the beach and restaurant with a shallow kids area, and one smaller garden pool without the shallow kids area which draws a quieter "crowd". We most appreciated that we were able to store luggage and use the pools all day after check out on the day of our 8pm flight and they have a nice shower room for checked out guests to use before leaving. Restaurant was great too. We'd definitely stay here again.

Cons The place is great! I felt bad not having a place to recycle, and would recommend that for improvement. We'd love to see a happy hour at Castaway's - we didn't partake much due to the cost.

I thought I had booked an ocean view or at least a glimpse and my view was of a car park and a shared verandah

Cons This is a family hotel and they do it well. Not ideal for singles but staff were lovely.

Nessun supporto in emergenza e zero empatia verso l'ospite

Cons Durante la nostra luna di miele ci siamo trovati ad affrontare l'emergenza incendi a Maui. A causa della chiusura delle strade ci è stato fisicamente impossibile raggiungere il resort. Quel giorno abbiamo inviato tre messaggi chiedendo supporto, senza mai ricevere risposta: abbiamo dovuto cercare e pagare un alloggio alternativo in totale autonomia. A fronte di questa situazione eccezionale, avevamo chiesto il rimborso esclusivamente di quell'unica notte non usufruita per cause di forza maggiore. La direzione ha invece negato qualsiasi rimborso, eludendo la questione e liquidandoci con risposte automatiche che scaricavano la colpa sul blackout elettrico (da noi mai contestato) e invitandoci a rivolgerci a Hawaiian Electric. Il giorno seguente, una volta riaperte le strade, abbiamo trovato il resort privo di corrente elettrica, acqua calda e linea per contattare le nostre famiglie in Italia: un ulteriore e pesante disagio, ma ben distinto dalla nostra richiesta. Non contestiamo la calamità naturale, ma la totale assenza di empatia, ascolto e sensibilità da parte della struttura. Da un resort di questo livello ci aspettavamo supporto umano in un momento di grave emergenza lontano da casa, anziché un freddo e immotivato rifiuto. Sconsigliato a chi ritiene fondamentale l'attenzione al cliente.
