Great island resort if you’re not arriving late!

Nice two bedroom villa, great spa facilities, and some of the best kid’s club hosts we’ve come across. Great splash pool for younger kids.

Cons What didn’t go well for us was the check in. We arrived at 11.20pm with 3 little kids and had to wait until 1.15am to be picked up by the island fairy. This isn’t a 5 star ‘concierge’ resort experience. By the time kids were settled it was 3am.

Why go all the way to the Maldives when you can enjoy a beautiful getaway right here in Qatar? It was our first time at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, and we had a blast! The room was incredibly spacious, and the bathroom was huge! The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of options. The staff were polite, friendly, and always helpful. We also loved the free-flowing cold water available by the pool and beach. The food was delicious, especially at Ted’s and Q Lounge. Next time, we’re looking forward to trying Al Nahham. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. If you’re thinking about the Maldives, why not go local instead? Banana Island is definitely worth a visit and will not disappoint!

Would not reccomend if you wanted a one day pool day.

I like the resort family friendly lots of activity for kids and adults.

Cons Check-ins at 3 if you’re there for one day and you require a private pool logistically doesn’t make sense when your check outs at 12 everything asked was up to availability. Having a local package would be better instead of consistently having to ask during a one day stay. Family members visiting/ not staying is up to a redeemable boat ticket cost which again doesn’t make sense for local staycations (time of return, restaurant reservations when the island wasn’t fully booked) . I was accommodated but it took a-lot of my time.

Perfect. It is not a great value when it is hot, because it is hard to enjoy the adventure park in the heat.

Beach front property. Close to everything. The room is spacious.

Cons The room was a bit old, the doors did not close easily. But not a real issue.

Breakfast is rich & tasty. Rooms are nice and dinner we had it at the Q lounge was acceptable.

Cons TV is outdated and no Bein channels to watch the games. this is a 5-star hotel and the rate is not low so everything should be perfect.
