Most definitely a truly 5 star establishment with wonderful staff and facilities.

From the moment I arrived at Borei Angkor Resort & Spa, I was made to feel extremely welcome. The hotel staff greeted me warmly with a refreshing welcome drink and a cold towel, which was a lovely touch after my journey. I was also delighted to receive a room upgrade, which made my stay even more enjoyable. My room was spacious, beautifully appointed and exactly as described on the hotel's website. It offered everything I could have wished for, including both a separate bathtub and a shower, making it a particularly comfortable and relaxing space. The breakfast was simply fabulous. There was an impressive choice of cuisine, with something to suit virtually every taste. Even the most discerning foodie would have found plenty to enjoy from the wonderful selection on offer. One particular tip for coffee lovers: do try the traditional Cambodian iced coffee at breakfast – it was absolutely delicious and a great way to start the day. For those who enjoy keeping fit while travelling, the hotel's fitness facilities are exceptional. The gym is genuinely one of the best hotel gyms I have encountered anywhere in the world, and the Olympic-size swimming pool is an excellent additional facility. If you want to work off a few calories after breakfast, you certainly won't be short of options! However, what really stood out throughout my stay was the exceptional service. Every member of staff I encountered was warm, friendly, attentive and incredibly generous with their hospitality. They are a real credit to Borei Angkor Resort & Spa. I was made to feel almost like royalty during my stay, and that level of genuine Cambodian hospitality made the experience particularly memorable.

Cons The location was slightly out of the way from the main nightlife of Siem Reap. You had to take a tuk-tuk every time you wanted to go into the main area (Pub Street) to have a drink and something to eat.

Peace, Positivity & Perfection - sums up our stay

Paige and I loved our stay at Borei Angkor Resort & Spa. The food was excellent, the spa was lovely, and the ambience throughout the hotel was beautiful. Our room had a balcony overlooking the gorgeous pool, with a comfortable chair perfectly positioned to enjoy the view. The amenities were thoughtfully restocked every day, and the concierge helped organize most of our activities. A special thank-you to the hotel’s driver, Bunna, who became our personal driver and friend for three wonderful days. We highly recommend this hotel!
