Great location and exceptionally friendly staff
We had a very pleasant stay at Casa Puente. The location on Cerro Alegre is excellent, making it convenient to explore the upper part of Valparaíso and also walk down to the city centre. The rooms are reasonably spacious, while the bathroom is large and very clean. Breakfast offers a good variety of options and is a great way to start the day. The real highlight, however, was the staff, who were incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.
Cons The rooms do not have heating, so they can feel slightly cold at times, although this was not a major issue for us. The parking is secured with a padlock, which means someone from reception needs to come and open it every time you want to use your car. There are also several steps leading up to the hotel entrance, which can be inconvenient when travelling with large or heavy suitcases.

Cons La atención es deficiente, esperaría un poco mas de amabilidad considerando que mencioné que era un viaje de ocio, de descanso, es un lugar poco acogedor. Fuimos con nuestra hija de un año y la cantidad de escaleras es infinita, nadie nos ayudó con el coche o con las cosas. El coche no cabía por la entrada de la pieza… no es un lugar familiar. Pero honestamente tampoco es para una escapada romantica. No volveré al hotel ni tampoco lo recomedaría.
Fabulous stay in a renovated old home. Could spend a lot of time just enjoying the art in the hotel.
