Lovely hotel and amazing staff and food.

The staff are amazing, special thanks to Gui in the Suku restaurant who always went out of his way to help everyone. Food is exceptional. We went half board and could use any restaurant as often as we liked over our time there. There was a supplement to be paid on special nights - which was odd as this was buffet food or could go to another restaurant for full service for no additional charge. No complaints, food options were lovely and I’d book half board again. Recommend RIN the Japanese restaurant which was lovely.

Cons We booked ocean front (at extra cost) but our room only had a window facing the ocean whereas the others had an ocean front balcony. Our balcony was over the pool but it didn’t benefit from the couch that standard pool view rooms had. I’d not bother paying more for ocean front as it definitely felt like we had been given ocean view instead. I feel we paid for something we didn’t receive. We were offered use of a beach cabana as gesture of good will each day as alternative rooms available were small for a family of 4. (Cost of cabana is very low though so I think we prob still paid over for the room and we didn’t get the food and drinks included in the cabana which is advertised as equal to hire price.) our children were happy with the cabana though so it worked out well. The rooms rely on three sleeping in one bed if you are a family. I’ve never had this before - was an odd set up but is noted on their website to be fair. We requested extra blankets to make it easier to sleep rather than three sharing one quilt. Staff were great and provided these quickly. We still had a great time and loved the hotel. Had potentially been spoilt the week before staying in ubud first. I would recommend the Conrad

Loved the half board options. Staff were amazing, especially the pool staff serving drinks and taking orders all day on the heat.

Cons Kids club was being renovated however the temporary one was not ok. More activities needed for kids. Also the pool area could do with a vibe. Maybe some music, more daily specials, cocktail of the day for a cheaper price. Happy hour by the pool.

The deluxe rooms with lagoon direct access to the pool, with sea view to the front was amazing and really fun for the children. The food and drinks were great. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Mas Eka in concierge for organizing activities such as the snorkeling trip from the hotel beach, and Devi for organizing transport

Cons Very disappointing experience at Conrad Bali. This hotel is far from what I would consider a 5-star property, especially considering the price we paid. The photos online look completely different from the reality — honestly, they look AI-generated or heavily edited compared with what you actually find when you arrive. The buildings feel old, the rooms were not properly clean, and the overall condition of the hotel does not match the image they are selling. The food was probably a 2-star level at best. Everything we tried was tasteless, and even something as simple as a coffee was poor quality and had no taste. When you pay this kind of money for a 5-star hotel, you expect a certain standard. I can accept that a hotel may be older, but I don't accept feeling misled by the photos and then receiving a completely different experience. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously changed our opinion of Hilton Hotels, and it will definitely be our last time staying here.
