Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia City Avenue

A disappointing stay that fell far below the standards I expect from Marriott.

Nothing in particular stood out, and there was nothing I especially liked about the property.

Cons There was an unpleasant odor every time I entered the bathroom, and the toilet made a persistent noise. The cleanliness was very poor, and the room appeared to be poorly maintained. The room also remained extremely humid and uncomfortable regardless of whether the air conditioning was running.

Room was a good size and bed was fairly comfortable.

Cons The check in process was long. There was only one person on the desk, the long queue was moving very slowly and there was no apology when I got to the desk. Afyer being dropped off by the taxi, it took me nearly an hour to check in and get to my room. Appaling.

Our stay for 3 nights was fair.

Bed mattress was comfortable, tv was nice

Cons Bed comforter had red makeup stain, bathroom toilet was not working properly, bathroom sink tap had very low pressure, air conditioner was hard to control, could not sleep in the bed close to the air conditioner for extremely cold air. Refrigerator was over cooling and everything was frozen. Room attendant did not leave bath towels for the last night and did not replenish coffee.
