Location. Shout out to Taylor on Reception who was very helpful.
Cons Noisy external air conditioning extract, meant balcony couldn't be used. Don't book a balcony room on L4.
Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges
Rooms are spacious and comfortable with good beds, but bathrooms are dated and walls need updating.

Great Breakfast. Unsatisfactory room
breakfast
Cons ROOM-We were told we had been given an 'upgrade room', which had two beds. (we did not require two beds) On reaching our room, we found a queen bed and double bed, which left very little access on one side of each bed. Quite inappropriate as the room was clearly designed for one king size bed. We should have immediately gone back to admission counter, but felt that as we were only there for two nights, we would make do. We did however, each sleep one on each bed, as access from one side of each bed was impractical. Will not accept such a room again.
Great location. Revamp is underway
The location is exceptional. That’s what you’re paying for, and that’s what you get.
Cons It’s a little tired - but I saw that a renovation was underway. I’m not a big fan of paying extra for freshly made coffee *in addition* to the buffet breakfast. But Fremantle is full of primo coffee locations, of course
