Cons Very clean
Clean with a Great Staff/Some Useless Features
We saw mixed reviews on this hotel so were somewhat skeptical but the stay was good. Rooms and facility were very clean. Desk staff were kind and helpful. Shout out to Edwin, Charisma, and Miguel. Room was small but functional…as you would expect in a city where space is expensive. Room had a chic dorm room vibe. There was a whiteboard and built in cabinetry with inspirational sayings painted everywhere. Bathroom was ironically large and I like showers over tub combos in hotels…this was a stall. AC was broken in the lobby but temporary units were fine. Bar was good. Breakfast was expensive and the extra daily “convenience fee” got us nothing…really stupid for them to do this. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy but we felt safe overall. Exercise equipment in each room was a dumb idea but the shared exercise in the basement is quite nice. Got a good deal through Groupon so was an excellent value, despite the unnecessary daily fee.
Fine for one night but not the greatest space.
The front desk was very kind and informative. Location was ideal for a concert at the Barclay center.
Cons Stains on the bed sheets, the air conditioning was confusing to work, the space was small, and lobby was not really air conditioned.
Large Rooms with Deficiencies
I stayed July 31st - August 2nd, 2026 with my spouse. I typically stay at the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge. I am upgraded with M lounge access due to my status. I am a very well traveled person. I travel basically every month for work or personal reasons. I am Platinum with Marriott, IHG and Hilton. Pros: The hotel is located in downtown Brooklyn. The subway station is a couple of blocks away. You can have easy access to get around. A key card is needed to access the hotel after 11 pm as well as use the elevators to access rooms, (a great safety feature). The Barclay Center, shopping and grocery stores are so within a 5-10 minute walk. The hotel itself is updated. The staff are very pleasant. I had the balcony suite which included a king sized bed, Peloton bike, yoga equipment work out wall with resistance bands and a desk area with a white board. My room may have been the largest available. I'm not sure of the size of the standard rooms. For NYC my suite was a good size, specialty for 2 ppl. The ac had two settings on and auto. Due to being on the top floor, maybe the HVAC was not very good. The temp was set to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The ac was very loud and blew hard but took a long time to get the room cool. If we dropped it below 70, it stayed on for a very long time, which became annoying to here without TV noise to drown it out. The balcony had a table to seat 6 plus a line sofa. You could comfortably fit 10-15 ppl to socialize. Cons: There is no status recognition. The hotel is under staffed. For my stay, I had several events during each day indoors and outdoors in NYC summer heat (85+ each day). Therefore, I needed to shower and change each time I returned. There was 1 set of towels when we initially arrived. The hotel was sold out the night prior. My room was not ready when we arrived for early check in. This was a small mistake. My spouse called the front desk to request towels. A few moments later they called back to ask why we needed towels. He explained there was 1 set in the room. I showered and changed for the first event. We left and returned, no towels. We called back again and received 2 towels within an hour. We tipped and left a note the next day and had the proper amount of towels. We showered three times during the day and needed fresh towels by 9 pm. After 3 calls and a shift change, my husband walks to the front desk at 12:45 am to get the towels. The front desk clerk was the only one there. Of course she could not leave. The person who should have brought them didn't show up. At 1:20 am, the person who should have arrived hours before delivers more towels requested at 9 pm. Overall: This could have been a bad weekend or requested staff. If I was traveling for leisure with less demand, maybe I would stay here again, especially since it's secure. For my business travel, this would not work for me. Again the staff are lovely and hard working. The hotel is short staffed.
