Outstanding customer service, very accommodating staff from front desk, pool attendants, lifeguards, and cleaning staff. Immaculate hotel with a very comfortable room and bed. Pool was clean and facilities were great. Our family would stay here again!

Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay at the Four Seasons Shenzhen. The hotel is extremely well located, very central, impeccably clean, and generally a very pleasant place to stay. That said, there were a few aspects of the experience that fell somewhat short of what I would normally expect from a Four Seasons property. I fully appreciate the geographical and language context, but I was surprised by the difficulty in communicating in English with some members of staff, particularly at the bar and, at times, at reception. At a hotel of this international standing, I would expect a somewhat stronger level of English among guest-facing teams. I was also surprised by the absence of a butler service, or at least by the fact that no equivalent service or point of contact was explained to me upon arrival. Perhaps I was simply unlucky and missed some information, but these are the kind of details that could easily be clarified during check-in and would make the guest experience feel considerably more attentive and seamless. There was also one afternoon at the pool when a large local family was being extremely loud, to the point that it was clearly disturbing other guests trying to relax. Of course, every guest should be able to enjoy the hotel, but a certain consideration for those around us is equally important. Members of staff passed through the pool area several times, and I felt that a discreet intervention would have been appropriate. Perhaps these are simply the result of arriving with very high expectations of the Four Seasons brand. It is undoubtedly a very good hotel and, overall, I had a very good stay. However, at this level, it is precisely the smaller details, proactive service and attention to the guest experience that make the difference between a good luxury hotel and an exceptional Four Seasons experience. Despite these points, the property itself was impeccable, and I enjoyed my time in Shenzhen.
