Great value for money
Location is fabulous, only hotel in Valletta with access to the sea.

Great hotel with excellent access to Valetta. Would definitely stay again following its upgrade.
The hotel is very close to the centre of Valetta. The rooms are spacious and have great views over the waterfront. The beds are extremely comfortable.
Cons The bathrooms and furniture in the bedrooms are dated and tired. A wide screen TV with a wider range of programs in English would be nice.

Cons First room had an intolerable smell - I enquired as to whether someone had recently died in there and the hotel made no comment or denial. Replacement room had Dusty, hairy and dirty bathrooms, hotel accepted they put us in a dirty room and blamed our nighttime arrival. Replacement room also had a sheet that didn’t cover the top mattress so it was only laying on top of the mattress (imagine what happens when/if you roll over in bed). 1.5 hours after check-in we were taken to a downgraded room with a smaller balcony, and smaller bed. As it was past 1AM we felt we had no choice but to stay, with no aircon on a very humid night (thunderstorms the next morning caused repeated power outages) as it was faulty. The next morning we moved to another hotel after management conceded they were unable to find us a room. They appeared to offer a feee transfer to our new hotel by way of apology but we were then invited to pay 12 EUR for a 6 minute journey in the hotel car. Thus insult to injury was only worsened by have no to endure the smell of rotting food that pervades the entrance to the hotel.
Absolutely loved the location and many aspects of the hotel but it is very dated and tired.
Very polite, helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Pool area and bar were wonderful. Great location.
