Grand Hyatt Dalian

ビールフェスに参加するなら立地は本当に最高です。気になる点はいくつかありましたが、総合的には満足できる滞在でした。

①ロケーション ビールフェスに参加するなら、とても便利な立地だと思います。タクシーも呼びやすくて移動には困りません。地下鉄を利用する場合は、最寄り駅まで徒歩約10分ほどです。 ②朝食ビュッフェ 本格的な中華の朝食が楽しめるほか、洋食や和食も用意されていて種類が豊富でした。スタッフの対応も丁寧で、気持ちよく食事ができました。 ③ルームサービス 深夜にルームサービスを利用しました。料理はレストランのようなワゴンで運ばれ、テーブルまで丁寧にセットしていただけました。対応してくださったスタッフの方もとても親切で、好印象でした。 ④トイレ ウォシュレットなど、日本のトイレとほぼ同じ機能が付いていて快適でした。トイレットペーパーは流せませんが、中国では一般的なので特に気になりませんでした。

Cons ① チェックイン チェックイン時のフロントスタッフの対応が、個人的にはあまりグランドハイアットらしい接客とは感じられませんでした。特別不親切というわけではありませんが、もう少し安心感や丁寧さがある対応を期待していただけに、少し残念でした。 また、パスポートを提示した際には予約が見つからず、「予約が入っていないかもしれません」と案内されました。私のほうから予約確認画面を提示したところ、無事に予約を確認していただけましたが、スタッフの方から原因を確認したり解決策を提案したりするというより、こちらから情報を出して解決したという印象でした。 ② 客室清掃 清掃をお願いするためのカードや案内が見当たらず、どうすれば掃除してもらえるのか少し分かりにくかったです。たまたま外出時に清掃スタッフの方がいたので直接お願いできましたが、中国語が話せなかったら少し困っていたかもしれません。 ③ チェックアウト チェックアウト時のスタッフの対応自体は親切でした。ただ、客室の冷蔵庫内の商品を利用した際、「何を利用しましたか」と直接確認されたことには驚きました。 おそらく客室清掃の際に、その時点までの利用状況は確認されていたのだと思いますが、その後チェックアウトまでの間に利用した分については把握されていなかったようです。 今回は利用したものを覚えていたため申告できましたが、もし覚えていなかったらどう精算するのだろう、と少し気になりました。 今回は私が中国語を話せたので、ホテルとのやり取りはすべて中国語で対応していただきました。そのため、日本語での対応については実際には利用しておらず、評価はできません。 ④客室 オーシャンビューのお部屋でしたが、窓が若干汚れていて、せっかくの景色が少しもったいなかったです。 また、部屋の何か所かにほこりが積もっているところがあり、清掃が少し行き届いていない印象を受けました。

Not good for globalists

I have a family vacation to Dalian coming up. I heard good things about this hotel so wanted to come as a globalist. I had massive service failures. I spent months looking at dates to see if I could book a standard suite with a suite upgrade award. But here's the main thing. I could never find a date, even to December when few people go to Dalian. I called my Hyatt concierge who also couldn't find a date. Frustrated, I called the hotel directly. The duty manager told me all standard suites are under maintenance. She seemed evasive when she said this. The next day a more senior executive called me and told me that they never put the standard suites on sales on the Hyatt app or on ctrip. They only sell in direct bookings or long term guests. To me, this is breaking the World of Hyatt program rules. This hotel is not exempted from accepting suite night upgrade rewards like some hotels like Park Hyatt Sydney or Alila Napa are exempted. This hotel just chooses to play games and simply never put standard suites available on the app so that no globalist can use a suite night upgrade awards. This is not right. So no globalist should ever stay here. I decided to book my family at the Castle Luxury Collection Marriott as well as the Intercontinental. I booked a suite directly in cash. . Too many Hyatt hotels are breaking terms and conditions and Hyatt corporate does nothing to police them.

Perfect spot

Great hotel in an excellent location. With the beach right behind the hotel and excellent restaurants in walking distance, it is a perfect spot for business or pleasure

Some improvement can be achieved.

I booked this property because it is the only Hyatt property in Dalian, was original booking 2 room and 3 night for family vacation, but little one was sick suddenly so we have to cancel the trip and I am the only person staying one night, hotel is very responsive in making my reservation change to just one night. The overall check in experience is not so clear upon my arrival, I am globalist, and all the other Hyatt hotels always check for room upgrade for me when I arrive, but this hotel does not mention any of the upgrade eligibility when I check (I.e. did not even say “sorry we don’t have any availability to upgrade…..” etc) so they just assign me to the room I booked, which I think it will be good lot at least tell me whether try to upgrade me or not. I do think they honor me the free breakfast and lounge access, but the front desk did not explicitly mentioned that as well, the front desk only told me when and where the breakfast and lounge served. The condition and view of this hotel is very nice and employee is having good attitude! One note is the floor to ceiling glass in my room is a little dirty in the outside, I think cleaning needs to be perform more frequent. In general I think it might be worth training the hotel employees more in this location so customer experience is better.

The rooms were world class, even by other Grand Hyatts i have stayed at in other countries. The room automation/technology. attention to detail to basic conveniences...all cant be described, need to be experienced to appreciate. Infact the giant window and breathtaking view itself is worth it.

Cons The post 10pm room service situation needs to be re-looked at. Issues no menu for post 10pm menu Cant order thru Hotel room phone a person comes in holding electronic menu for you to be able to make an order. Not a huge inconvenience, just surprised for Grant Hyatt levels. On a positive, food was great, and is delivered fairly fast,

upgrade the room

I booked the twin room, when I check in, they found only myself, they helped me to upgrade to the suite with the king bed, that is awesome.
