Cons The rate was hugely inflated from other visits there and it was annoying to pay so much for a 12 hour stay. We returned to Louisville last weekend and stayed somewhere else because the daily rate had increased so much. Stayed in a nicer room at a Marriot for less than half the price.
We really enjoyed ourselves this weekend - this trip is a memorable one!
The staff was phenomenal. Very friendly and helpful. The boys really enjoyed the bar/lounge area - they were able to hang out with their friends at night, watch baseball/football on tv.
Cons The building is in need of repair and updates. Our room, the bathroom lock was missing, the fan not working. The elevator needs repair - the sounds while in use was somewhat concerning.

I loved the location, easy walking distance to most everywhere we wanted to go.
Cons I hate to say this, but there is a dilute homeless population in Louisville, if you're walking to your destinations, you will be asked for food, money, etc. I believe the hotel put up a fence specifically to address the situation, because there are several homeless people sleeping outside of the gate. I had zero issues with any of them, but I know some people have a hard time with those types of interactions.
Will definitely stay here again.

Cons Breakfast was awful. I stay at other IHG locations and what I experienced at Louisville Downtown was below subpar. Minimal selection, unappealing food, the place was too cheap to leave the non-stick spray out for waffle-making purposes. The rooms were small. I had to turn sideways to get to the beds. The permanent "Wet Floor" signs in the elevators were unsettling. Considering the lengths to which this location went in order to cut corners, I'm surprised that I had to pay so much.
