Cons The system was down when we arrived. Check in had a line all the way down to the bar. It took over an hour to check in and then had to wait for the manager to manually find our room, which was exhausting after driving many hours and arriving at almost midnight. There was no Wi-Fi in the room either. I expected a discounted stay, or at the least some complimentary service, but the issues were not even addressed.

Fantastic experience at garden inn downtown bethesda. Room was clean, beds so comfy, shower products top notch, and location unbeatable. Nick Sr. At front desk was very helpful and made our stay even better. BEST HOTEL for DC college parents. We will be back soon!
Terrible and unsafe

Cons This hotel rooms are old. My room smelled musty and moldy. The ice machine on my floor-12 was broken and the housekeeper said it has been broken for a long while and was told to tell guest to go down to floor 5 for ice. That sucks This hotel books to guest that are regulars like homeless people or need to stay for a week or so. It reminds me of a rooming hotel. I didn’t feel safe at this hotel, too much riffraff going on. Although guests are supposed to use their room card to get on elevator, I noticed that derelicts hanging around the hotel waiting to for real guests to use their room card for the elevator so they can get on and ride to whatever floor they’re going on. I would never stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

I cannot say enough, good things about Nick, Sr. He was helpful with my check-in – he was helpful getting materials ready for my board meeting when I was in a pinch – and he helped find a box that had been shipped here and misplaced. You guys are lucky to have him.
