Disrepair and Mold

This is my 10th time at the Hilton. It’s the worst Hilton I have ever stayed at. Unfortunately, most of the hotels here are in serious disrepair. It’s an island and mold can be an issue. But the overwhelming smell of mold, the visible pain peeling, black mold on the walls, the door and the headboard. I do my best to stay out of the room as long as possible. Regardless, each time I’m here, I spend a month detoxing from the mold when I return to the states. Food is expense and not good. I tried a burger once, nearly threw up. Never got one again. The chicken tenders is more like McDonald’s with the texture. Not real chicken. I at at Roy’s - which was always one of my favorite restaurants. Needless to say I didn’t finish my meal there either. This visit is even worse. As a diamond member I always request a king room in the premier tower. I should have access to the executive lounge. The lounge hasnt been open my last trip in April or this one. This time they wanted to “upgrade me” to the Tasi tower. I knew that was no upgrade and yet they still put me there. As I had already traveled for 30 hours o thought I would check it out and just deal with it this trip. Once again, the hall way to the tasi tower was an overwhelming mold smell, the room is less appointed then the premier tower and smaller. I asked to have a room in the premier tower as that was what I reserved and wanted. Several hours later they accommodated me. For a Hilton hotel, with plenty of money, they have don’t little to mitigate the extensive mold issue. As a doctor I know the health effects of the mold. It’s inexcusable for a 5 star resort to be in such disrepair. (And trust me I am giving some leeway for the two recent typhoons). Unfortunately, I have stayed at other hotels on Guam and they are all poor.

Handicap problems

Quiet & secure during the Super Typhoon, which is why I stayed there.

Cons The shower/tub was way high in height. I recently had a new hip installed, and it was a bit hard to get into and out of even with the security bars. I asked the maid and was told all the tubs were like that, e o if you have problems like I do, ask about the handicap facilities which I plan to do next time I stay there.

Excellent Stay

Excellent hotel. Lots of amenities. On site 24 hour coffee shop. Convenience and gift shop. Pools were sparkling clean. Staff is amazing. Go to the Tree bar and say hello to Scottie. She is wonderful. This is my second stay and I enjoyed chatting with the staff and drawing at the tree bar. Thank you Scottie for the great conversation and the rest of the staff.

A Perfect Guam Getaway at Hilton Guam Resort

투몬 베이 최남단에 위치하고 있고, 이파오 비치 공원이 바로 옆에 있어서 탁 트인 오션뷰와 더불어 한적한 분위기가 좋았어요. 너무 북적북적 거리는 느낌이 아니라 오히려 휴양하기 좋은 위치인 것 같아요. 쇼핑하기 좋은 K마트까지 6분, 괌 프리미엄 아울렛은 5분 정도 거리라 좋았습니다. 저는 비교적 최근에 리노베이션 된 프리미어 타워에서 지냈는데 전체적으로 새 호텔처럼 굉장히 깔끔하고 모던해서 마음에 들었어요. 특히 발코니 너머로 오션뷰가 한눈에 들어와서, 매일 괌의 에메랄드빛 바다를 보며 눈 호강했네요. 수영장은 바다와 인접한 인피니티풀과 메인풀, 키즈풀, 액티비티풀, 워터슬라이드까지 다양한 시설이 운영되고 있어서 물놀이 하기도 너무 좋았어요. 조식은 아일랜드 테라스에서 먹었는데 가격 대비 음식 구성이 좋아서 매일 아침 식사는 거기서 했어요. 다음에도 괌 여행 한다면 힐튼 호텔에서 지내고 싶을 정도로 만족했던 스테이었습니다! It’s located at the southern end of Tumon Bay, right next to Ypao Beach Park, so I really loved the open ocean view and the peaceful atmosphere. It didn’t feel overly crowded, which actually made it perfect for a relaxing vacation. It was also conveniently located only about 6 minutes to K-Mart for shopping and around 5 minutes to Guam Premier Outlets. I stayed in the recently renovated Premier Tower, and I was impressed by how clean and modern everything felt, almost like a brand-new hotel. The best part was definitely the ocean view from the balcony waking up to Guam’s beautiful emerald-colored sea every day was such a treat. The pool facilities were also amazing, with an infinity pool facing the ocean, a main pool, kids’ pool, activity pool, and even waterslides, so it was a great place to enjoy swimming and relaxing. For breakfast, I ate at Island Terrace, and the food selection was surprisingly good for the price, so I ended up having breakfast there every morning. Overall, it was such a satisfying stay that I’d honestly choose Hilton Guam again for my next trip!!
