Hilton Portland Downtown

Comfortable but not worth the price staying downtown.

It was very spacious and easy to get to off the elevator. It was quiet and we slept very well. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant exceeded our expectations even though the price was a little more than what we wanted to pay.

Cons I didn't like having laundry carts outside out room on either side. It was like someone just forgot they were there. The valet parking situation was a horrible experience. We had to drive around the block 10-times in order to see a sign, find a space to pull in so valet could park our car. There was no cart offered and we had to haul all our luggage and bags up 20-floors.

The rooms was absolutely beautiful and amazing. So comfortable and I had an amazing view.

So amazing and worth it.

How close it was to EVERYTHING.

Cons That it was either pay for valet or pay to park. Should be advertised as such. Didn’t know I’d have to pay another 45$-59$ just to park.

The staff was great, the location was excellent, but unfortunately the rooms directly off the elevator shaft are subject to loud elevator noise, so if you are a light sleeper, try to avoid those rooms, and you will have a terrific experience.

Cons Elevator noise, probably exacerbated by a wedding party during our stay. The elevator ran pretty constantly the entire night. They offered to move us, but we didn't have time to pack our stuff during the day. Again, top notch staff, just needs better sound dampening.

A very frustrating experience

After being told our room was being serviced and would probably be available in one hour, we waited 2 hrs. in the hotel only to be downgraded to a smaller room Next morning the toilet wasn't flushing and we waited one hour for maintenance to plunge it. Prior to arrival, I informed front desk that we were traveling by train and we wouldn't need valet services. He told me the charge for valet would be removed. After we returned home, I got an e-mail receipt showing the charge for valet service. Phone calls to billing and to the front desk got me nowhere. I sent an e-mail to Hilton Honors and they got back immediately to tell me someone from the Hotel would contact me. I finally did get a text that the charge had been refunded. The hotel itself is very conveniently located but there are very few options for a room that gives you a comfortable seating area and room to move around. It is not a luxury hotel , but the beds which take up all the room are comfortable.

Great place for a family reunion!

Stayed at this hotel during a family reunion. The room was clean and comfortable, valet Chris was helpful. We found out after checking in that there is self-parking under the hotel which we switched to after 24 hours. Breakfast and lunch served for the reunion was very good. A good stay!
