The Hilton Queenstown.

Loved the whole atmosphere of Hilton. I was instantly welcomed with smiles when I entered . Customer service desk was lovely and warm and answered all my questions. There is also a seating lounge area over looking the lake and the icy mountain tops with a nice warm fire to warm you up on a freezing day which is lovely. Also we stayed on the bottom floor which was only a 1 minute walk to the whakatipu restaurant where we enjoyed a beautiful buffet breakfast every morning!! Top of the line Kai!!!

Cons The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I had to ask how to turn the fire on. This information would be of great benefit before I go to my room to relax. Also for the amount I paid the photos did not do the room justice and the bathroom interior is quite out of date and needs a bit of sprucing up. The spa unfortunately was not hot enough when I came back from a long day quad biking and adventuring so this was a real let down for me because I paid extra for this room in particular because I had my own personal spa so I didn't have to share with anyone else at the hotel so I was very disappointed.

Cons Checking in took over 20mins Rooms are incredibly tired and worn out including the duvet cover all discolored. Beds were like hammocks Turned up and two single beds instead of the king suite booked Felt unclean Staff were okay but spoke very little English and were so slow (apart from Franko, he was great)

Comfy bed and couch. Good location close to resturants. Included in most tour pick up locations.

Cons We ordered our first room for 2 adults and only had adquete seating for 1. Not normally an issue however on our honeymoon was not ideal. We were then moved to another room set up for 2 adults which was much nicer. However showers in both rooms were filthy. Had calcium build up that blocked water holes and you could pull little calcium worms out of the shower heads. Bathrooms were dull and dusty. Hot water was an issue kept running cold for periods of time. Baths were okay, good size and comfortable. Staff were okay however seemed some smart comments when we went to check into our second room. Overall for the money just wasnt the welcoming vibe we were after and we werr very disapointed.
