Great hotel next to ammenities
We stayed at the Hilton for a couple of nights in a double room. The room was spacious and the hotel has valet parking which was convenient. The hotel is close to all the amenities about a 10 minute walk from the beach. Hotel staff were friendly the lobby and rooms were all clean

Great option in the Santa Monica area
Overall, I would recommend staying at this hotel, just two blocks from the Pier, with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. The hotel itself is nice, although it does feel a bit worn in some areas. I was told it was new, but you can tell it hasn’t been maintained as well as it could be—there were some stains and marks in the bathroom.
The beds and the pillows are amazing. As for parking, I did some research beforehand and found a parking garage directly across the street, which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Most hotels in the area—including this one—charge around $60 USD per day for parking. The overnight rate at the garage was $14 USD, which felt like a major win.

Great!
Veronica, at the front desk was over the top kind and welcoming and out of her way helpful - from helping with hotel services to advice about the area, things to do and see, places to eat, she was the best. I was there for 13 nights while my husband was hospitalized at UCLA Santa Monica. I felt so welcome and supported. Thank you, Veronica!

Solid hotel in the heart of Santa Monica
The Santa Monica Hilton is a great hotel. While not new, it is very refreshed and everything worked as expected - something not too common in too many hotels.
Check-in was quick and the staff was efficient. We had two rooms:
The king room was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of drawer storage, and a closet, as well as a roomy safe. The second room with two queens was very cramped. No drawers with barely any room for two people to unpack.
The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were modern with a great flow from the showers. There was some noise seeping across rooms - a loud kid offered a 4am wakeup.
The hotel is located in an efficient, but not very scenic address. It is walkable to downtown Santa Monica and the beach, as well as Santa Monica's charming Main Street. You are also right off of the 10 Freeway, offering access to anywhere in LA within a simple drive.
What is important is to read what other reviewers said and park directly across the street in the municipal parking lot. That will save you $30-40 a day as the hotel charges a staggering $55/day for the joy of parking your car.
The hotel offers a small pool on a lovely deck.
In short, this is a great, solid hotel to have as a basecamp for your visit to LA.

Amazing family stay with our 14-month-old!
We had a fantastic experience at Hilton Santa Monica as a family traveling with our 14-month-old baby. The team was incredibly accommodating and helped us get a suite with a bathtub, which made bath time and bedtime so much easier for us.
A special shoutout to Pablo—his service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. He really made our stay even better.
From check-in to everyday service, everything felt smooth and welcoming. Even the valet team was great—efficient and professional, which added a lot to the overall experience.
We truly had a wonderful stay and highly recommend Hilton Santa Monica to families with young kids!
