Hotel Barahi Kathmandu

A wonderful and relaxing stay with excellent service, beautiful surroundings and a great overall experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Barahi Kathmandu. The property is beautiful, clean and well-maintained. The swimming pool area is excellent, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The location is also very convenient.

Cons There was nothing major that I disliked. Everything was well managed and comfortable during my stay.

Good location

The hotel is in a very good central location, making it convenient for exploring Kathmandu. The room itself was very nice, comfortable and well presented, and overall I was happy with the accommodation. However, I was disappointed with the level of service in some areas. In my opinion, some members of staff would benefit from additional hospitality training. I reported to Reception on two separate occasions that the body wash dispenser in my room was not working correctly and asked for it to be replaced. Unfortunately, despite these requests, the issue was still not dealt with after a week. The staff on the 7th-floor restaurant/ breakfast were very courteous and polite, which I appreciated. However, the service was sometimes very slow and unresponsive. On several occasions, I found myself waiting around five minutes simply to get someone’s attention. Overall, the hotel itself is very nice, the rooms are good and the location is excellent. However, for a hotel of this standard, I believe the attention to detail, responsiveness and consistency of customer service need improvement. With some additional staff training and better follow-up on guest requests, I believe Hotel Barahi could provide a much stronger overall experience

Hotel is in a great location, lovely views from the restaurant. Room was very spacious, modern and clean. The breakfast was excellent, lots of options and everything was delicious. The staff were so nice and friendly.
