Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort
Rooms have stained carpets, dated decor, and uncomfortable beds, though they're quiet with good sound insulation.

Exceptional
Another exceptional stay at Hotel Excelsior, this time for my birthday weekend. The staff on site were amazing, brought me a birthday treat. The site is beautiful as always. Pleasantly upgraded to a sea view room this time which was great. Truly wonderful stay, wish it was longer. Hopefully see you again soon.
Cons A little flexibility with their cancellation policy as I wanted to stay for two nights. Otherwise, nothing bad to say.
it was outstanding
Cons nothing
A Luxury hotel at half the price or less of other venetian luxury hotels.
Breakfast is a huge choice buffet. Wonderful. I also enjoyed the thick wall to wall carpeting. The free boat shuttle from the hotel to the piazza. San marco is a wonderful free ride in a luxurious Venetian wooden boat. It's available twice every hour and half hour.
Cons The background music in the main lounge was a bit too loud, but i didn't spend much time in that lounge. I'm sure the hotel management would have turned the sound down enough if I had asked, but it was not worth the trouble for me.
