Hotel Nepalaya

Cons I stayed at Hotel Nepalaya for a few nights during my trip to Kathmandu. Based on the price and online reviews, I expected a much better experience. The hotel has a good location, and the staff at reception were friendly and helpful. The restaurant also has a nice view, which was probably the best part of my stay. Unfortunately, the room was disappointing. It felt old and not very comfortable. There was no tea or coffee maker, the bathroom looked outdated and was not as clean as I expected, and the air conditioning was noisy while not cooling the room properly. Breakfast was also below average. The selection was limited, and I found the quality disappointing compared to other hotels in a similar price range. The biggest issue was the noise. I barely slept on one of the nights because of guests talking loudly in the corridor, making phone calls, and drinking late into the night. Even after asking about changing rooms, the noise was still a problem. For the amount I paid, I believe there are better hotel options in Kathmandu that offer more comfort and better value. I appreciate the efforts of the staff, but overall my stay was disappointing.

Cons I would not recommend staying at Hotel Nepalaya. The room was not clean, and there was too much noise, making it difficult to relax. The mattress was extremely hard, and I couldn't sleep the whole night. The room amenities were very poor. There was no tea or coffee maker and no complimentary mineral water. There were some bottles of water in the room, but there was no indication whether they were free to drink or chargeable, which was confusing. The breakfast was very limited, with little variety. The only positive parts of my stay were the friendly staff, the helpful reception, and the nice rooftop view. The hotel's central location was also convenient. Overall, the poor room condition, lack of amenities, uncomfortable bed, and disappointing breakfast made this a bad experience. I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel to others.

Cons The mattress were in need of replacement.

Cons I was disappointed with my stay at Nepalaya Hotel. The room was very small and had no window, which made it feel dark and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I also found several cockroaches in the room, which was unacceptable. The breakfast was very basic and below my expectations, with very limited options. Overall, the cleanliness and room quality need significant improvement. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here.

A welcoming and enjoyable time, in a timeless setting.

Fanatic staff - very helpful and considerate. Top quality food and reasonably priced. Rooftop view from the hotel and its dining quarters are spectacular. Offer a panoramic view of Kathmandu.

Cons Nothing - I will be booking a reservation at this hotel, again, in the future.
