Hotel Okura Kyoto

Do not stay at this hotel.

Location is nice.

Cons staff is not properly trained. Remember to put do not disturb on the door, otherwise they will bang on the door early morning. The hotel is very old. Mattress is a disaster, toilet is old and not functioning properly.

Amazing Stay

The staff was amazing! Very helpful and friendly. From helping us with the luggages, sending us adapters when we needed them, to helping us cancelling a restaurant reservation that we had a hard time contacting. They also helped us to get a 7 seater taxi when we could not find one. Food at breakfast was great, the restaurant on the 17th floor has a nice view of Kamo River, it was so relaxing to have breakfast every morning! The rooms were big, comfortable and clean. The location was great with direct access to the underground mall and train station.

Cons Everything was perfect! We will be back to Hotel Okura next time for sure! We enjoyed our stay and still miss the quiet and calm vibes, and the great city view from our hotel room

東山向きの眺望の良い部屋にアップグレードしたのでお部屋にいてもリラックス出来た。

Cons 連泊したので和食も楽しめたが食後のコーヒーがサービスであれば良かった。
