I would return to the hotel for its convenience, but I would keep my comfort expectations lower.

The hotel is an adaptation/conversion of an old residential building, so it doesn't have the best design, the best finishes, and many other things one would expect from a building designed to be a hotel. I found the beds very soft and worn out, the air conditioning was noisy and made it hard to sleep; impossible to sleep through the whole night without waking up. But there was no noise coming from the street because the window is noise-proof (thankfully). I also found the room dark and with a generally heavy appearance. The shower stall was quite cramped and low, but the water pressure and temperature were perfect. Breakfast is very good, above expectations. The staff service is also very good, above expectations. The hotel kitchen works very well, the food is fresh and very good. But sometimes it isn't running at the time you need it. The pool doesn't get sun for a good part of the day because of the shadows from the surrounding buildings. The hallways are unnecessarily dark; a little attention to lighting and carpets would make everything much better. I would return to the hotel for its convenience, but I would keep my comfort expectations lower.
