An unforgettable stay at InterContinental Tashkent After visiting Bukhara and Samarkand, my mother and I arrived at the InterContinental Tashkent. We were staying on the 14th floor, and when we entered our room, we were welcomed by an extraordinary table filled with fresh fruit, nuts, sweets and local treats. It may sound like a small detail, but despite having travelled a lot, I was genuinely taken aback by the generosity and thoughtfulness of this welcome. It immediately made us feel that we were not just guests, but truly cared for. The hotel continued to surprise us at every turn. At the end of our very first breakfast, Dilobar prepared a special dessert for us — wonderfully light and fluffy syrniki, beautifully served with berries and fruit. My mother and I literally gasped when it arrived. It was completely unexpected, and that small gesture made the breakfast feel very personal and memorable. Breakfast itself was exceptional, and Anvar and Jasur made it feel wonderfully personal. Every morning they came to our table to ask whether there was anything else they could do for us. At one point, after falling in love with the fresh green juice made with apple, citrus, celery, greens and other ingredients, I jokingly asked whether it might be possible to have it delivered to my home in Tallinn every morning. Their answer was: “We will look into it.” And then, with perfect hospitality: “If that cannot be arranged, you can always move here instead.” Honestly, after the omelettes prepared by Rixo, moving to Tashkent did not seem like such a bad idea. :) It was also Rixo who suggested that we take a private city tour when we were wondering what to do next. Almost immediately after breakfast, Miraziz came to our table, and within minutes an excellent personal city tour had been arranged for us.
