Last stayed here in 2022 and this is my 2nd time. Unlike previous, i got upgraded so thanks to Noah at front desk The suite is large, follows overall hotel design. Tv has CNN Gym is medium sized, ok. Hotel breakfast similar to other 4/5 stars in China Wifi here is the weak point. First night completely dead and i had to get the internal staff access. 2nd day weak throughout the hotel 9/10

This international hotel doesn't provide a VPN, unlike other international hotels throughout China. This makes it difficult when you're trying to work and I was very underwhelmed.
Cons The room decor is quite dated and even though it is called JW Marriot Westlake, it's actually nowhere near Westlake, so keep this in mind if you're booking it and want somewhere to walk of an evening.
Classic hotel that touches all the soft spots…
On my way to Fujian from Shanghai , I decided to make a pit stop to Hangzhou to meet some ex colleagues and decided to stay close to the old city center. By “old” indeed I can understand why my ex colleague said this is the old city center as the hotel definitely has lived a few decades. Upon entering the hotel , one can easily noticed that this hotel has been around for many years from the decor to the hardware but other than this, it is well maintained with excellent service . As I was looking for a quick laundry , I approached the concierge and was assisted by Henley who coordinated a laundry service nearby with pick up and return the very next day before I check out. The room is clean and meticulously maintained but the door definitely looked like 80s, but overall a great hotel that will stay as good this way as having major revamp may mean tearing it down!

Great location. Closer to everywhere you wanna go in Hangzhou. The place is clean and polished. Food is great. Staffs are polite and very helpful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with all amenities. Just make sure to have your translation app ready.
