Perfect Family Escape
We had a wonderful stay at the JW Marriott Venice. Our room was spacious and offered lovely views of the gardens. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating with every request, and the concierge team was especially helpful. The beautiful pools, padel court, and stunning gardens were real highlights. Although the hotel is large, it never felt busy or overcrowded. Its peaceful island setting feels like a relaxing escape from central Venice, while the frequent complimentary shuttle service to St. Marco Square makes exploring the city incredibly easy. A fantastic place to stay!
Cons What we didn’t like was the lack of arrival information. When we arrived in Venice, we had no idea how to get to the hotel. We were not given any instructions, and there was no mention of the free shuttle or its pick-up point. Dragging our luggage around in 36°C heat was extremely difficult and frustrating. My advice is to find out exactly where the shuttle departs from before you arrive, or arrange a private taxi directly from the airport.
