Very old looking hotel. The wifi doesn’t work in the room. Food is below average. Spa is not very good. Not the standard I expected from Kempinski.

An Exceptional Stay – 10/10 I had a truly wonderful experience at the Kempinski Hotel in Ulaanbaatar during my participation in COP17. From the moment I arrived, everything was handled with professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality. The hotel is elegant, exceptionally clean, and very well maintained. My room was spacious, quiet, and extremely comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after long and busy days at the conference. I especially appreciated the hotel’s excellent support and cooperation with COP17 delegates. The staff were very well organized, helpful, and attentive to the needs of participating delegations. They made transportation to and from the COP17 venue smooth and convenient, which made a real difference during a very busy conference schedule. The staff throughout the hotel were consistently courteous, professional, and always ready to assist. The level of service, organization, and hospitality exceeded my expectations. Overall, it was an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out. I would definitely choose Kempinski again whenever I return to Ulaanbaatar and would highly recommend it, particularly for business travelers and international conference delegates. A truly excellent stay — 10/10!
All around wonderful hotel to stay.
I have been staying at the Kempinski Hotel since 2015, once every year. In some cases two or three nights, in some cases slightly longer, but all my UB stays have been at the Kempinski Hotel ever since 2015. I absolutely love the hotel. It's great location, great staff, great food. Everything's so wonderful. There is no fault.
Cons This is not the hotel's fault this time. I have stayed two nights with all my family and was trying to book a back on the 18th but they were fully booked. My travel schedule changed due to the petrol situation so I have to spend longer in the UB but the hotel was fully booked. I've been pushed to book a Shangri-La and I am absolutely disappointed with all the services and I have been provided at the Shangri-La. Kempinski is, to me, a real true five-star small hotel and their attention to detail to the guest are excellent. There was an event COP 17 in the UB happening in the dates i was there all the hotels were booked.

Cons Everything was great except one feedback on the spa. We had a good experience doing a full body massage on our first day, so we went again on our last day. It was a different lady who was just not great... So if you want to try their spa and massage, I wish you better luck!
Cons Should have at least konwledge of gluten free bread.
