Clean, comfortable, affordable in great location!
Great location, very central in Reykjavik, perfect for wandering around the city. Kex is spacious and clean, interior is perfect for a hostel, really liked it. Bed was comfortable. There was enough space for my belongings in the room. I just wish there were lockers available outside of the room also, so that I wouldn’t bother other “roommates” while they were still sleeping.
Cons I wish that kitchen was taken care of more often. Unfortunately many guests don’t follow the rules and the kitchen gets messy pretty easily. As of what I observed the kitchen gets cleaned by the staff in the morning only. The only thing that was actually bothering me had nothing to do with Kex, but different schedules of different guests. You won’t get a great night sleep there because of people waking up or going to bed at different times and that causes noise. But that is the nature of a hostel :) Ps. Please clean this beautiful window in the 4th floor!
Exactly what I wanted it to be.
Staff were really helpful, location was ideal. Well stocked bar. Kitchen was cleaned everyday. Bathroom were clean.
Cons Could have done with more forks in the kitchen.
